Curtis Gruenler
Assistant Professor of English at Hope College, Curtis Gruenler began reading Barfield because of the Inklings connection just before beginning graduate school in English at UCLA in 1990. Barfield's thought has had a deep influence on his study of medieval literature and on his in-progress revision of his dissertation: Piers Plowman and the Hermeneutics of Enigma: Riddles, Rhetoric, and Theology in the Middle Ages.
