Joseph Campbell (1904-1987)
Professor at Sarah Lawrence College, one of the foremost 20th Century experts on mythology. Author of such books as The Hero with a Thousand Faces and The Masks of God (4 vols.). He included an essay by Barfield ("Dream, Myth, and Philosophical Double Vision") in his anthology Myths, Dreams, and Religion.
