Harold Bloom (1930- )
Sterling Professor of English at Yale University, the author of such books as The Anxiety of Influence, A Map of Misreading, and Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human (where he quotes Barfield favorably).  He included a selection from Barfield in his collection Romanticism and Consciousness.
