Sonya Dorman Hess, born in 1924, lives in Taos, and is a poet and fiction writer. Her collection Poems (1970) won the Rhysling Award from the Science Fiction Poetry Association. "When I Was Miss Dow" (which, like most of her fiction, was published under the name Sonya Dorman) received a Nebula Award.
