Phyllis Gotlieb, born in 1926, lives in Toronto. Her active and distinguished writing career includes four books of poetry; seven novels (six of them science fiction), the most recent being Heart of Red Iron (1989); and two collections of stories. She co-edited Tesseracts 2.
