Kim Stanley Robinson sold his first story in 1976; in 1984, his novella Black Air won the World Fantasy and John W. Campbell Awards, and he has a Nebula Award for the novella The Blind Geometer. His novels include The Wild Shore (1984), Pacifc Edge (1990), and most recently Red Mars (1993) He lives in Davis, California.
