Capitol Bolt Pistol ( No Country For Old Men ) a weapon used by the killer Anton Chigurh. The weapon is an oxygen tank with a hose connected to a nozzle which shoots out a cylinder several inches. It then recedes back in to the nozzle. The oxygen tank is similar to one someone who suffered from emphysema would carry. Chigurh uses the bolt pistol to kill one man whom he has pulled over on the highway while pretending to be a police officer. Also, Chigurh uses the bolt pistol to knock out locking mechanisms to break in to various buildings.

The bolt pistol is an appropriate weapon of choice for Chigurh as it is the same tool used to slaughter cattle. The complete lack of emotion Chigurh has towards his victims is the same void of emotion in the business of slaughtering cattle. The scene where Chigurh acts as a police officer in order to pull the man over on the highway is directly reminiscent to the slaughtering of a cow. Chigurh asks the man to put the nozzle of the pistol against his fore head. Confused and completely unaware of the situation, the man innocently does what he is told, only to be quickly killed by the bolt pistol.
