Wrigley (Intolerable Cruelty). Wrigley is an associate of Miles Massey, and works alongside him at Massey, Myerson, Sloan and Gurolnick.  He is used as a “straight man” in many scenes, and his interactions with various people make for some of the most humorous lines in the movie.  For example, while waiting for Gus Petch in a greasy spoon diner with Massey, Wrigley asks the waitress if they serve a “green salad,” to which she responds, “What the fuck color would it be?” Wrigley and Massey  also have a conversation with Rex Rexroth in the courtroom which is very similar to Abbott and Costello's “Who's on First” skit, regarding whether or not they have “sat before” this particular judge.

Wrigley also seems to be Massey's closest friend.  He attempts to help Massey through his midlife crisis by any means necessary; he is the best man in Massey's wedding, helps to contract Weezy Joe to kill Marilyn, and follows Massey to then stop Weezy Joe from Killing Marilyn.

Wrigley is played by Paul Adelstein, made famous by his roles on the television shows “Prison Break”  and “Private Practice.”—Patrick Tierney
