Treffon, Ted (Burn After Reading), played by Richard Jenkins, is the manager of Hard Bodies gym. He also spent fourteen years as a Greek Orthodox priest. Ted has a crush on one of his employees, Linda Litzke. However, she is completely unaware of his feelings towards her. On several occasions, Ted goes out with Linda and listens to Linda complain about her aging body and her unsatisfying relationships with men. Ted subtly informs Linda that she has a nice body in his eyes, and he subtly suggests that a man such as himself would want to date her. However, Ted’s words fall on deaf ears.

Ted is not the type of guy who likes to take chances. For instance, when the janitor at the gym finds the disc with all of the “secret shit” on it in a locker room, Ted immediately demands the disc be taken out of his gym. He is afraid of what might happen if someone finds out they have the disc. After Chad, another gym employee, disappears, Linda is forced to inform Ted about what has been going on. Linda asks Ted to break into the house of Osbourne Cox and search for incriminating evidence on his computer. Initially, Ted says that he can’t do it. However, after much deliberation Ted decides to do it. Ted has finally decided to break out of his mold.

Ted breaks into the house and is searching through the computer when he is discovered by Cox. Cox shoots Ted. Cox then chases him out into the street where he finishes Ted off with a hatchet.—Matthew Ellis
