Norman O. Brown (1913- )
At the time of his retirement, Professor of the History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is the author of Life Against Death, Love's Body, and Closing Time. He contributed "On Interpretation" to Evolution of Consciousness: Studies in Polarity.
